Maternity Lady Jacket Cardigan

The past few weeks have been busy! With all of the Halloween madness and everyone wanting photos for holiday cards, I haven’t really slowed down. I’ve had a couple photo sessions a week, plus Halloween activities and normal kid activities (swim, preschool, music class). I’ve been feeling a bit underwater and like I can’t quite catch up. But I’m starting to feel like I may have a handle on things and I’m hoping to power through this week really productively so I can start to dive into all this holiday and really soak up this time. My goal is to deliver my remaining three photo galleries to clients, take our own family photos (oops! Super late on that this year) and begin planning and prep to host Thanksgiving.

I’m still figuring out my pregnancy style as I’m getting bigger and the weather is getting colder, but I’ll be honest, it’s been kind of a fun challenge! Even if Levi did tell me today that he didn’t like my outfit. :) This lady-jacket style cardigan has been a new favorite. I love the gold button detail and texture and it’s a piece that will carry me through the holidays and into the last stretches of my pregnancy early next year. I’ve been trying to work with a lot of things I already have and not purchase too many maternity specific things, but I love how polished this makes me feel, with leggings or jeans. Speaking of jeans, these have been my go-to so far. Are they perfect? Of course not, they’re maternity jeans. But I love the cut—straight leg enough to make me feel current without being too baggy—a classic wash and over the belly (my preferred pregnancy pant style).
