Gifting for a New Baby
When we had Henry, the most beautiful and thoughtful gift arrived on our doorstep—a tray with a homemade quiche, a kale salad, bagels and cream cheese, Ina Garten’s raspberry crumble bars, a vase with yellow tulips and a sweet note from our friends. The presentation was spectacular and the gift even sweeter. I made a note to remember it all so I could gift in the same way for other expecting friends. The quiche was a great easy option to eat at any time of day, the bagels good for a quick option, the salad to add some freshness and those crumble bars… I’ve made them countless times since and I hate to say I’m addicted! I have one friend who just had a baby and two more who are due in September and I’m so excited to put together something similar for each of them. It did make me realize I’d like to get some personalized stationary for these kinds of occasions. I’m thinking of one set with our family name, one with my own name or perhaps maybe even an initial embosser stamp so I can add it to my own paper and envelopes? There are so many fun options, here are a few I’m eyeing.
Croissants — A touch of fun, I can see using these to include with baked goods!
A botanical monogram — Feels classic and feminine, aka right up my alley.
A punchy color — Cheery and not too serious.
There’s also an option to upload your own design, which I may just do. I think I’d like to create a simple monogram in Canva and use that for the cards.
