Toddler Class Valentines

My mom was a crafty mom—homemade Halloween costumes, the most intricate doll tea parties you can imagine and countless other crafts. I remember her volunteering in the classroom for projects like in first grade when she came in to guide us through making sparkly Christmas ornaments out of styrofoam balls, patterned paper napkins, glue and glitter. It’s a core part of my childhood remember how creative and fun she was (and still is). I always dreamt of being that mom. So of course when school Valentines roll around I’m so excited to put my own spin on it. Right now Levi is very into trains (I can hear an automatic train sound going in his room as I write this) so I knew that would be the theme. I used Canva to create a custom Valentine card and had them printed at FedEx.

We got these adorable wooden train whistles that are just so cute and feel a little higher quality (bonus points that we’re avoiding more plastic trinkets!). I got small, simple plastic bags and varying heart ribbon to tie the cards onto and I think they just turned out SO sweet.
