Summer-Ready Prints from H&M

Outfit details: H&M Dress, sandals, sunglasses

H&M is a favorite of mine for baby and toddler clothes. I’ve been buying sweet, timeless, character-free clothes for Levi from H&M since he was born, but they’re also a surprising go-to for summer dresses and skirts at amazing prices. They usually sell-out fast and I often have more luck in-store than searching their overwhelming large collection online. Each spring, I find a few skirts of dresses in beautiful prints and lightweight fabrics that look far more expensive than they actually are. I still own, wear and love this dress. I’d actually seen Instagram ads for this one a few times and when I went in person I knew I had to try it. The print felt different than a lot of the florals I’d been seeing lately and the colors were unlike anything in my closet so it felt like the perfect addition. I love the slightly smocked back which gives you a little wiggle room with sizing. The dress also comes in a few other colors and patterns that are also beautiful.

I came home with a few other pieces that I thought would be fun to add to my summer wardrobe. This skirt, which is wonderfully lightweight, will be great paired with a simple tee or tank for daytime, but could also be easily dressed up with a blouse and heel for an evening look. I do wish it had pockets, but the print was too good to pass up. I also got this more vibrant red and white dress that immediately felt like it belongs packed in a suitcase for a tropical vacation, not that I have one planned! I love a fruit-print, and so this lemon-print dress caught my eye, but didn’t come home with me as I already own an H&M lemon-print skirt from last summer, but I sure was tempted! I love the detail of the patterned trim along the bottom and it also comes in the same beautiful blue print as the skirt. I didn’t see this one in store, but am such a sucker the soft florals on this white dress.
