Summer Edit for Toddler Boys

To keep me from buying everything under the sun and to ensure what I buy goes together in multiple ways to create varied outfits, I’ve started to gravitate towards a seasonal color palette for Levi. I suppose he has general color palette all year long and I take that as a base and add in other colors depending the on season. For summer, you can find him in mostly blues, reds, whites and tans/browns. That’s not to say if I found something else I loved for him I wouldn’t get it, but it’s certainly made things easier and I end up with a wardrobe for him that I know I’ll love.

Linen overalls are a no-brainer, they’re so sweet and classic and can be dressed up, but are still easy to play in. I had this logo-free baseball cap for him last year and had to order again for my sweet boy (who inherited his dad’s large head), I got the 6-9 year old size for my 2.5 year old. It comes in tons of colors, but you can’t go wrong with a classic navy. I love stripes and this set came with a coastal print that is also so fun and summery. And water shoes are a summer must! Levi lived in Natives last year and so they were an instant re-order for this year. I’m definitely the mom who has too much fun styling her child. Levi looks more put together than me on most days, don’t get me wrong, he has sweatpants and shorts (we call them cozy pants) for naps and lazy days, but I prefer a little bit more structure in his pants and shorts on regular. Shorts that go past the knees on little boys are also a pet peeve, so when I find some that fit him well and aren’t too long, I stock up in multiple colors and both these and these fit all my requirements.
