Summer in Checks

Nothing says summer quite like gingham. Checkered tablecloths and linen napkins, dresses and tops and skirts. I love it all. This skirt is comfy, with pockets and you can’t beat the price. It also comes in blue. The wide elastic waistband make its so comfortable and easy to wear. It’s a great options, and one of my contenders, for our 4th of July BBQ, but I’m also considering it for strawberry picking.

I’ve also had my eye on this maxi dress which feels like the perfect transitional fall dress. I love that it’s a bit more muted with less contrast than a traditional black and white gingham. I wore this elevated green gingham dress again recently (wrote about it here) and it’s such a gorgeous fabric. And this Doen classic is wonderfully lightweight. And the stitching on the bodice of this one adds a fun visual detail.
