Apple Picking 2026

Apple picking has got to be one of my favorite fall activities. It kicks off the season and gets me in the mood for fall. This year I was especially delighted because on the morning we planned to go, we woke up and it was cool and foggy. Typically in Northern California, it’s still quite warm during apple picking season and sometimes that can take away from the autumnal mood I’m trying to set. It’s always a must-do for me and I love that not only do I get excited about it, but Levi does too. It’s always such a win when we both love something so much.
We headed to Gizdich Ranch and had the most fun running through the orchards and ended the afternoon sharing a big, delicious pie. We actually went with strawberry rhubarb and not apple because I can never pass up a strawberry rhubarb pie—it may have been the most delicious pie crust I’ve ever had! My tip: the line is always so long for the slices of pie and other food. If you don’t want to wait, head to the little store and you can buy a full pie and ask for forks and just dig in! It was such a fun activity for all of us and I can't believe that next year Henry will be big enough to participate (kind of!).
