Second Trimester Fall Style

Outfit details:

T-Shirt (old, similar), Skirt, Shoes

I’ve really struggled with what to wear lately. Everything has felt like an inbetween season—I’m not fitting into my regular clothes, but not big enough to fit into most maternity clothes, the weather is still fairly hot, but it’s officially fall and all the activities I want to do and the fashion I’m inspired by are for cooler temps. So I’ve been leaning heavily into autumnal hues while still weather skirts and dresses that I can stay cool in. Burgundy, brown, navy, eggplant, olive green seem to be all I’m putting in my cart.

As for what to wear… It’s been warm enough to continue in some of my comfy dresses and kind of surprisingly, I’ve been really gravitating towards skirts! I’ve found a number of them that have stretchy waist bands I can wear higher up above my small bump and feel like they’ll grow with me and that will pair just as well with a cashmere sweater as temperatures cool as they do now with tanks and short sleeves.
I ordered this ribbed sweater midi skirt in both burgundy and brown because I couldn’t decide. It’s amazingly soft and stretchy and I can already imagine wearing it on repeat this fall. The fall floral on this one is so beautiful and there are so many colors in it you can pull from to wear on top, but my favorite is the unexpected light blue. It goes so perfectly and adds a nice contrast to what you typically think of as autumn tones. The smocked waist on this black and tan plaid skirt makes it ultra comfortable, they seem to be out of most sizes, but it also comes in black. I wore it for our recent trip to a pumpkin patch. It was just the thing to make me feel fall and festive, but the lightweight material was perfect for the warm day.
